A daughter of the Moon, rooted in the Earth, guided by the elements, creating through every season of becoming.

Hi, I’m Chevy, the heart and hands behind what you currently know as Becoming in the Dark. My spiritual path has honestly been a lifetime of remembering, questioning, learning, unlearning, and finding my own way. I grew up with Catholic roots, while also being surrounded by things within my family that weren’t always openly talked about, and from a young age I had experiences with spirit, dreams, and the unseen that I didn’t fully understand at the time. Years later, I found my way back through tarot, and from there my path just kept opening into herbs, handmade ritual oils, candles, spiritual baths, divination, deity and ancestral work, planetary and lunar timing, sacred texts, mythology, and all the little rabbit holes I’m constantly disappearing into because I genuinely love to learn. I’m a Pisces Sun, which probably explains at least some of the wandering through mystical rabbit holes. Over time, my business has changed names, identities, and directions right alongside me, and Becoming in the Dark is another beautiful checkpoint in that journey, not necessarily the final destination. I believe we do become in the dark, but lately I’ve felt myself being called even deeper toward the Earth, herbs, plants, the elements, nature, and the older wisdom woven through them, and I know that will eventually shape what this space becomes next. Everything I create from my readings to the things I make with my own hands comes from something I’m genuinely practicing, studying, or experiencing myself. I don’t consider myself someone who has all the answers; I’m a student of this path just as much as anyone else. Even the Galaxy Cauldron, which Patrick and I created together, came from wanting a space where people could learn, question, practice, and grow together. So if you’ve watched this business change over the years, just know you’ll probably watch it change again. That’s kind of the point. I’m not trying to build something that keeps me stuck as one version of myself. I’m building something that is allowed to grow with me, wherever this path decides to take me next. 🌿
